Gabriel Fauré: Le jardin de Dolly (from "Dolly Suite"), Opus 56, No. 3 (SMB #130)
(The garden of Dolly, re-entitled: There is a garden in her face; text by Campion.)
There is a garden in her face where roses and lilies grow; a heav'nly paradise is that place wherein all pleasant fruits flow; there cherries grow which none may buy. Those cherries fairly do enclose of orient pearls a double row, which when her lovely laughter show, they look like rosebuds filled with snow.
