English Singing Translation of:

Johannes Brahms: Regenlied, published in 1908 (SMB #113)

(Rain song; text by Groth)

Raindrops falling from the trees are falling on the green grass. Teardrops flowing from my blurry eyes do make my cheeks so moist. When the sun shines again then the lawns are twice as green; twice as fiercely on my moist cheeks my ardent tears will burn.

(Approx. performance timing: 2:48)
